Inter Milan are assessing the future of Tomas Palacios after the Argentine defender suffered another injury, with the club now open to a January exit.
As confirmed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Palacios is currently sidelined and is expected to remain out for around 20 days. The setback complicates an already difficult time in Italy for the young defender, who has struggled to find continuity since arriving in Milan.
Inter are now actively considering a transfer during the winter window.
The Nerazzurri would prefer to resolve the situation quickly, especially given the limited opportunities Palacios has had to integrate into the first-team rotation.
However, the player’s stance does not fully align with the club’s intentions.
Palacios Wants Inter Milan Stay Amid Exit Links
“For obvious reasons, there is a desire to sell him immediately,” La Gazzetta reports, “but at the same time Palacios is digging in his heels and wants to remain in Milan at least until the end of the season.”
That position could still change.
According to the newspaper, a return to his former club, Independiente Rivadavia, represents a possible solution if a concrete proposal arrives in the coming weeks.
For Inter, the priority is clarity.
