Missouri football's wide receiver depth took another hit as another pass-catcher announced that he is entering the transfer portal.
All but one of the Missouri football wide receivers who played 100 or more snaps in the 2025 season are now no longer expected to return.
Mizzou backup wide receiver Daniel Blood became the latest wideout on the roster to announce he plans to enter the transfer portal, posting a portal announcement to his Instagram account on Friday. Blood was Mizzou’s backup slot receiver behind Kevin Coleman Jr. in 2025 and had been a reserve pass-catcher for the Tigers for the past three seasons.
That leaves Missouri incredibly short in the room entering 2026 and portal season.
Coleman is out of eligibility and expected to be a NFL Draft candidate. Joshua Manning and Marquis Johnson, who started games in 2025, each announced that they will transfer this offseason. Xavier Loyd also is out of eligibility, and reserve James Madison II also will transfer.
That means Mizzou’s only returning wide receiver who caught more than one pass and played more than 100 snaps is freshman standout Donovan Olugbode, who the Tigers have confirmed is returning next season.
The Tigers are still currently expected to return fellow freshmen DaMarion Fowlkes and Shaun Terry II.
Blood is a 5-foot-10, 191-pound receiver out of Destrehan, Louisiana, who signed with the Tigers as a three-star prospect in the Class of 2023.
He has appeared in 36 total games for Missouri, almost entirely as a reserve. He caught 15 passes in three seasons for 152 yards and no touchdowns. In 2025, he caught five passes for 51 yards.
Mizzou was already expected to be active looking for wide receivers in the transfer portal. It would not be a surprise to see the Tigers chase three or more players at the position.
The portal officially opened for entries Jan. 2 and will remain open for new entries through Jan. 16.
