Inter Milan midfielder Piotr Zielinski delivered a promising update on his fitness after a 3-1 home win over Bologna last night.
Speaking to Sport Mediaset via FCInterNews, the 31-year-old confirmed he’s finally feeling happy at San Siro.
Indeed, he was unable to fit into Simone Inzaghi’s system, prompting wild speculation about his future in the summer.
However, Inter decided against offloading the former Napoli star.
Instead, Cristian Chivu has given Zielinski the benefit of the doubt, helping the versatile midfielder find his footing in Milan.
Now, Zielinski has become a key asset for the Nerazzurri.
He scored another breathtaking goal last night to open the scoring, setting the tone for Inter’s dominant victory.
Furthermore, his overall performance was exceptional, proving Chivu correct for giving him the nod ahead of Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Asked whether last evening’s win bolstered Inter’s confidence, Zielinski replied: “Yes, of course.
“We played a great match, well prepared, against a tough opponent who has caused us problems in recent years.
“We’re happy because we did what we had to do and brought home the three points.”
Then, he delivered an update on his fitness.
“Physically, I’m feeling good,” Zielinski confirmed. “I don’t feel any pain. I just have to keep taking care of myself to be at 100%.”
Moreover, he commented on his return to form.
“Trust is essential, as is the freedom to enjoy myself and show my qualities.
“Then there’s always the team that helps the players. I’m happy to be feeling good.
“I have to give a lot to the team, and we must keep going down this path.”
Finally, Zielinski urged his teammates to focus on Wednesday’s clash against Parma.
“We have to focus on Parma, because we know that even against teams that are theoretically smaller, you can always suffer.
“Last year, we were 2–0 up and then drew. We have to concentrate on them because it won’t be easy.”
