Nevada sports betting handle didn’t set any records in November, but operators in the state reported an 8.4% year-over-year increase, during a month that featured the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The $908.1 million handle was also up 63% compared to October, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board, which released the November revenue report on New Year’s Eve day.

Nevada sportsbooks also had a good revenue month, bringing in $72.9 million on a 7.9% hold — slightly less than the 8.1% in November 2024, but nearly double October’s 3.6% hold. Operators paid the state $4.92 million in tax revenue, the most that flowed into state coffers all year.

November marks one of the busiest months on the sports calendar with NFL and college football and the first full months of the NBA, college basketball, and NHL seasons, and operators reported significant year-over-year increases in football and hockey revenue. The World Series also ended on Nov. 1, and sportsbooks paid out $4.8 million in futures bets against limited action during the month. Parlays remained a strong product for operators, with operators reporting an 18.9% hold.

November was the first month in 2025 that handle surpassed $900 million, and the highest since November 2023, when bettors laid down $921.6 million in wagers.

Football was king

Betting on pro and college football netted an 18.7% increase in revenue against the same month in 2024, and hold was 9.2%. The NHL win percentage of 12.6% was up 67.7% for the same time period, while the win rate on college basketball and the NBA was down 14% against 2024, as was the “other” category, which includes the F1 race, as well as sports like soccer, tennis, and golf.

Revenue and handle in Nevada has been trending up annually, as has hold. By the end of November, operators had already kept $534 million in profit this year, as compared to $482.1 million in 2024.
