According to reports from L’Équipe and Le Progrès, Rémy Descamps (29) is attracting interest from clubs in the EFL Championship over a potential move away from Olympique Lyonnais during the winter transfer window. The French stopper is the subject of interest from Hull City and West Bromwich Albion.
The 29-year-old has received more playing time than he would have expected during his time with Les Gones. Signing to predominantly play as a back-up goalkeeper, following injuries and the departure of his colleagues in the goalkeeping department, Descamps has made 7 appearances for the Ligue 1 club this season.
Descamps targeted by West Brom and Hull
Whilst the former PSG goalkeeper has enjoyed increased minutes at Lyon this season, joining a club in the English second division would present the opportunity for more minutes. Le Progrés also report that the two clubs would also be able to offer the OL keeper a pay rise. No formal offers have yet been submitted to Lyon, but a departure remains a possibility.
