Xabi Alonso’s sacking from Real Madrid on Monday has stirred up a whirlwind of speculations and reports regarding what went wrong behind the scenes.
One common theme throughout these reports has been the mention of dressing room unrest and lack of support for the manager form some of the most important players in the team.
Indeed, multiple outlets like The Athletic and ESPN, citing locker room sources, have suggested that three key players – Vinicius Jr., Jude Bellingham, and Federico Valverde, were not on board with the ideas of Alonso and did not fully believe in the manager.
Bellingham lashes out
However, having stayed quiet until now, Bellingham has lashed out these claims, calling it a ‘load of s***’.
The England international made a post on his JB5 app, hitting out at the rumours of him not being on the same page with Alonso, who has now been replaced by Alvaro Arbeloa.
“Until now l’ve let far too many of these slide, always hoping the truth will come to light in its own time. But honestly… What a load of sh*t,” Bellingham wrote on his app.
"
“Truly feel sorry for the people that hang onto the every word of these clowns and their ‘sources’,” he added.
The former Borussia Dortmund then made it clear that it was clear misinformation spread to add controversy.
“Do not believe everything you read, every now and then these lot need to be held accountable for spreading this kind of damaging misinformation for clicks and added controversy.”
Vinicius’ relationship with Alonso had been tense since the summer’s Club World Cup itself, with things escalating after the first El Clasico of the season.
As for Bellingham, it was alleged that the midfielder was not entirely onboard with the manager’s tactical plans and vision.
But the midfielder has come out to deny those claims, issuing a strong statement against the reports doing the rounds.
