EVANSVILLE, Ind (WEHT) – After starting the season (3-13) overall and (0-6) in Ohio Valley Conference, University of Southern Indiana men’s basketball team head coach Stan Gouard said changes are coming for his team.
Gouard said we can expect changes to the lineup and gameplan as the Screaming Eagles move forward through the season and look for a solution to get out of their slump. The decision to make changes to the rotation may help the team find something that works better or even light a fire under some players to improve their play.
“I’m not into worry about guys feelings right now. As coaches our feelings are hurt as well. You know I think we have enough team guys on our team to understand that what we’re doing right now, the lineups we have are not working. You know hopefully someone responds to you know sitting on the bench, but not playing as much. That’s what competitors do and we just hope that they respond to it and prove us wrong because they’re going to play harder or be more disciplined in terms of what we’re trying to get done as a team.”
USI will face Tennessee Tech on the road Thursday, January 15th, at 7:30 p.m. The game is set to stream on ESPN Plus.
