What a shot!
For most of the night, it looked like Kentucky Basketball was heading toward an awful SEC loss on the road at LSU.
Kentucky scored just 22 points in the first half, and LSU took a 16-point lead into the break, but the Cats battled back and gave themselves a chance.
Welcome Malachi Moreno to the scene!
The Kentucky freshman made the type of play most kids growing up in Kentucky practiced over and over in their driveway, as Moreno caught the full-court pass and put the shot up just in time, beating the buzzer to give the Wildcats a desperately-needed win.
At the end of the day, it wasn’t pretty, and I’m not sure anyone left that game feeling better about this team and where they stand at this point in the season, but a win is a win, however you can get it.
Kentucky avoids a brutal loss in SEC play, and now the Cats are 2-2 in conference in what looks to be a wide-open SEC.
Regardless of where the season goes from here, that’ll be a moment Malachi will remember for a long time.

What Chris said… but also, this photo cracked me up all night.
An all-timer.
