Stellenbosch FC winger Devin Titus has reacted to being drawn against defending champions Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup Round of 32.
The Soweto giants have somewhat become a hoodoo team to Stellies, winning four of the last five meetings between the two sides.
Chiefs beat Stellenbosch three times last season, including eliminating them from the Nedbank Cup in the quarter-finals.
Though odds are firmly stacked against the Cape Winelands outfit, Titus is confident that his team can send the title holders packing.
“Last season was last season, it is the past. But now it's a different fixture, it's a different Stellenbosch team to last season, so you can expect something more from Stellenbosch,” said the speedy attacker.
"It's a love-hate relationship between Stellenbosch and Kaizer Chiefs, they've been beating us but last time we won. I think Nedbank Cup is a different fixture compared to the league and other cups - it's a once-off game so you just have to win your match.
Notably, the two teams have already met in the Carling Knockout Cup Round of 16 this season, with Stellies emerging victorious following a penalty shootout.
