‘Biggest disappointment’ – Hansi Flick stunned by Dro Fernandez’s decision to leave Barcelona

The manager is upset by his decision.

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has reportedly been left stunned by Dro Fernandez’s decision to leave the Catalan giants.

A new report from Sport has claimed the teenager told Flick this morning he wants out and will now sit down with his agents to plot his next move. The word is that Fernandez does not lack for offers and will depart in January.

The Catalan daily also reports that Flick is really upset at the situation and told his entourage that the news was the “biggest disappointment” of his life.

Flick took Dro on the club’s pre-season tour of Asia and saw him score on his debut. He was full of praise for Dro after the game.

“He already trained with us at the end of last season and that’s why he’s here. He is a great talent and again La Masia did a fantastic job,” he told reporters.

“Not only because of the goal, but also because of how it relates to the ball. He has to improve, of course, in midfield we have a lot of quality and it’s not easy to play there, not only for him, but also for the rest.”

Fernandez has since been with the first-team squad, making five first-team appearances this season, but now looks set to continue his career away from Barcelona and Spain.
