Chelsea are in line to receive around £4m as a result of Marc Guehi joining Manchester City according to reports.
Guehi started his career at Chelsea and came through the ranks at the club’s famed Cobham academy, which has produced many top players over the years.
The England international made it to the first team squad in 2019, but only made two appearances for the Blues, both of which were in the Carabao Cup.
Chelsea set to receive £4m from Marc Guehi deal
Chelsea sold Guehi to Crystal Palace in 2021 for £20m, but made sure to include a sell on clause in the deal, which would net them a cash windfall down then line.
The Blues have been linked with Guehi in the past, but a move never materialised, however the 25-year-old is on the verge of joining Manchester City.

The imminent move to City, which is believed to worth around £20m will see Chelsea get 20% of the fee, and The Standard have reported the Blues are set to receive about £4m.
Chelsea themselves are reportedly looking for a centre back this month, but it’s believed they will only move if the right player becomes available, and they’re looking for someone of starting quality.
Chelsea linked with Jeremy Jacquet
Whether Chelsea sign a centre back this month remains to be seen, but it’s believed the Blues have a number of targets on their radar.
Jeremy Jacquet is thought to be the main target, whilst Como’s Jacobo Ramon is also being looked at, whilst Chelsea have reportedly discussed Marcos Senesi.

It’s clear Chelsea need to strengthen at the back, and it’s now two successive head coaches who have deemed the centre back options at the club as not good enough.
Chelsea are likely to face competition from a number of clubs, especially for Jacquet and will have to move quickly if they want to secure their targets.
