Barcelona youngster Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernández is all set to take his talents to France, with Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain.
This of course comes after the youngster dropped something of a bombshell at Barcelona this week.
Unhappy with his game-time at senior level across the season to date, Dro informed those behind the scenes at the Spotify Camp Nou of his intention to depart with immediate effect.
Considered a future star in the making, as much marked a heavy blow for the cash-strapped Blaugrana.
A whole host of clubs from across the continent, in turn, made known their interest in activating the 18-year-old’s €6 million release clause.
And as alluded to above, over the last 24 hours, one such suitor are understood to have taken a clear lead in the race for Dro’s services.
As per a report from French football expert Santi Aouna:
‘Deal reached between PSG and Dro Fernández. Barring any last-minute twists, the midfielder is set to commit to the capital club for four and a half years. Paris will trigger the €6M release clause.’
