The Suns visited the Big Apple to take on the New York Knicks and, after dropping their previous two games, bounced back with a 106-99 victory. The win was highlighted by Booker’s strong performance, coming just two games after he suffered a minor left ankle sprain.

The All-Star finished the night with 27 points, four rebounds and four assists. His scoring was enough to move him past Suns legend Steve Nash on the NBA all-time scoring list, as he reached 17,413 points to sit 96th overall.

Booker’s rise from promising young talent to franchise cornerstone has been a long but steady journey since arriving in the Valley in 2015. Unlike Nash, who built his legacy in Phoenix through playmaking and tempo, Booker has reached stardom through consistent scoring, durability and adaptability across multiple eras of Suns basketball.

The milestone was achieved in significantly fewer games than Nash, with Booker reaching the mark 506 games sooner.

While Phoenix was able to bounce back from back-to-back losses to open its road trip, the night belonged to Booker. Longtime fans who have followed his career praised the All-Star, celebrating the achievement and the pace at which he reached it.

As the team continues its push through the Western Conference, the win and the record serve as reminders of what the team can still accomplish this season. The focus remains on securing a playoff spot as key rotation players continue to recover from injuries.

Phoenix now heads into the fourth game of its road trip against the Brooklyn Nets on Monday, Jan. 19, at 5:30 p.m.
