Will we see Quaintance again in a UK uniform?

We are coming up on another weekday SEC matchup at Rupp Arena as the Kentucky Wildcats welcome the Texas Longhorns to town. In what is another good opportunity to pick up two big conference wins, all eyes will once again be on the availability of projected lottery pick, Jayden Quaintance.
After debuting in the St. John’s game, Quaintance has now missed the last three games for the Cats with some knee swelling. Despite that, there has been swirling speculation that the star big man may never set foot on the court for Kentucky this season. Jeff Goodman added to it, saying he thinks Quaintance might not play again, which definitely doesn’t help calm down any of those rumors.
Then, during his Monday radio show, Mark Pope was about to give a brief update on what Quaintance’s role will be when he returns, but the show ended while he was speaking, so we didn’t learn anything from that.
After two big come-from-behind wins, the Cats are trying to push themselves up off the mat heading right into the thick of the SEC schedule. If they do get Quaintance back, that would only help propel this team and frontcourt.
As many would imagine, getting a future NBA Draft lottery pick back into the rotation is certainly a good thing. Let’s hope we get to see it!
