Billy Root extends his stay at Glamorgan as he signs a one-year contract extension.
Billy Root has signed a one-year contract extension which will keep him at Glamorgan until the end of the 2026 season.
Batter Root, 33, has been an influential figure at Glamorgan since joining the Welsh county in 2019.
Root, who played significant roles in Glamorgan's One-Day Cup wins in 2021 and 2024, has played 67 first-class matches for the club as well as 44 list A appearances.
"Billy offers a huge amount to us on and off the field and has been a big part of the club since making Wales his home back in 2019," Glamorgan director of cricket Mark Wallace said.
"We're delighted that he's extended his stay with us for another year."
Glamorgan will play in the top flight of the County Championship for the first time in 21 years in 2026.
