Georgia Bulldogs star running back Nate Frazier shares that he was pulling for his former Georgia teammate Carson Beck
Georgia Bulldogs running back Nate Frazier played college football with Miami Hurricanes quarterback Carson Beck for one season in 2024 at Georgia. Frazier made it clear that, despite Beck's controversial transfer to Miami, he was still rooting for Beck to knock off the Indiana Hoosiers in the national championship.
"Wanted that for my brother so bad," Frazier said via social media. "Prevailed while everybody doubted. I know that feeling keep your [expletive] head up, CB (Carson Beck)."
The fact that Frazier was cheering for Beck shows the bond two teammates can form together. Players go through numerous practices and workouts and that tends to bring them together despite what media narratives may be out there.
Beck's college career ended with a chance to have a game-winning drive in the national championship. Beck needed to deliver touchdown with Miami trailing 27-21 to Indiana. Instead, Beck threw an interception on a deep pass with Miami moving into Indiana territory. Beck's final college pass was an interception, which felt very similar to the interception he threw in Georgia's failed comeback against Alabama in 2024. Some Georgia fans may relish Beck's heartbreak, but his former teammate Nate Frazier isn't one of them.
The Carson Beck story will move along with him entering the 2026 NFL draft. Beck is expected to be a mid-round pick in the draft.
Frazier will have a chance to write his ending at Georgia. He is returning for his junior season to a Georgia team that returns quarterback Gunner Stockton, safety KJ Bolden, cornerback Ellis Robinson and more for the 2026 season.
