Report – Inter Milan Making Progress In Pursuit Of Aston Villa Goalkeeper

Serie A powerhouse Inter Milan are reportedly making strides in their pursuit of Aston Villa stalwart Emiliano Martinez.

According to TyC Sport via FCInterNews, the first meeting between the Italian club and the player’s entourage went smoothly.

Cristian Chivu’s charges are in the market for a new goalkeeper after deciding not to renew Yann Sommer’s expiring contract.

Therefore, the Swiss veteran will depart San Siro at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, backup stopper Josep Martinez has failed to convince the Nerazzurri chiefs about his capacity to replace the 37-year-old.
