Dutch police evacuated over 300 Belgian fans from the away section shortly before the scheduled kick-off of the Europa League match between Utrecht and Genk on Thursday.
The measure was necessary due to significant safety concerns because some Genk supporters didn't undergo identity checks or searches, the Belga news agency reported, citing the police.
Due to the evacuation, the match started with a 53-minute delay. Genk beat Utrecht 2-0.
The police also said that a large group of fans who had travelled from Belgium evaded the checks by climbing over security barriers.
The 300 evacuated supporters were not allowed to watch the game in the stadium.
