The Seattle Seahawks will play the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship game on Sunday, Jan. 25. If the Seahawks win, they’ll be headed to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2015.
If you’re headed to Lumen Field for Sunday’s playoff game, it’s important to follow the rules.
Here’s what to know:
What’s the bag policy at Lumen Field?
According to Lumen Field’s bag policy, all bags must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC.
Tote bags and backpacks must measure no more than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches.
You can also bring small, non-clear clutches and purses into the stadium, as long as they don’t measure larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches. Gallon-sized Ziplock bags are also allowed.
Anyone caught trying to smuggle oversized bags into Lumen Field will be “denied entry,” according to the policy.

As you pack your bag for game day, it’s vital to know what you’re banned from bringing into Lumen Field.
Here are some of the prohibited items you should leave at home, according to the stadium:
- Alcohol: Including bottles, cans and shooters.
- Battery-operated clothing that lights up or inflates. Heated blankets, vests and jackets powered by batteries are OK.
- Cans and bottles: Glass, aluminum, metal and aerosol containers, including sunscreen
- Cameras, video recorders and selfie sticks
- Drones
- Laptop computers: Tablets without cases are allowed
- Noisemakers: Megaphones, air horns, sirens, horns, whistles, drums and cow bells
- Weapons: Including guns, knives, box cutters, brass knuckles and pepper spray
“Streamers and confetti are not allowed” at Seahawks and other sporting events to “avoid disruptions and ensure safety for players, staff and fans,” Lumen Field said.
If you’ve accidentally brought something that isn’t allowed into Lumen Field, you can store it at Walker’s Lockers at the north and south entrances of the venue.

“Outside food in a clear plastic bag or pizza in a pizza box” is allowed at Lumen Field and Lumen Field Event Center, the venue said, although food must be single serving.
You’re not allowed to bring in outside beverages such as soda, water, coffee and sports drinks.
However, factory-sealed water bottles and unopened juice boxes are allowed, as are baby bottles and “beverages related to medical needs,” according to Lumen Field.

All eventgoers who look like they’re under age 30 must present a valid form of identification, according to Lumen Field.
That includes a valid driver’s license, learner’s permit, passport or U.S. Armed Forces ID card. Expired or temporary IDs won’t be accepted.
“No alcohol will be sold to guests who appear intoxicated,” Lumen Field said, with beer and wine purchases limited to two drinks at a time.
Eventgoers under age 21 can’t buy alcohol, and anyone caught giving alcohol to minors could be ejected or arrested.
Can I smoke at Lumen Field?
“Smoking, tobacco or marijuana use” is prohibited on Lumen Field property, the venue said.
What else isn’t allowed at downtown Seattle venue?
According to Lumen Field, eventgoers are expected to follow a fan code of conduct.
That means fans should refrain from the following behaviors:
- Behavior that is unruly, disruptive or illegal in nature
- Over-intoxication or other signs of alcohol or substance impairment
- Offensive language or obscene gestures
- Inciting a confrontation or physical assault
- Interference with the progress of the game, including throwing objects onto the field
- Failing to follow instructions of stadium personnel
- Verbal or physical harassment of fans of home or opposing teams, as well as stadium guests and staff members
