Abella Danger did not hesitate when the conversation turned to Fernando Mendoza and the growing belief that he could be the first player selected in the upcoming NFL Draft.
A former adult film star who has become a familiar and outspoken presence around college football, Danger was in Las Vegas for a conference when she shared her thoughts on Mendoza’s rise. Her reaction was immediate and enthusiastic. “Oh my gosh. I mean, he’s so quick, he’s so powerful, and he’s so intentional with everything that he does,” she said. “I feel like the Raiders would be so lucky to have him.”
With the Las Vegas Raiders widely expected to hold the No. 1 overall pick, Mendoza has steadily climbed to the top of most draft projections. His ability to extend plays, stay poised under pressure, and look comfortable when the spotlight tightens has only strengthened the belief that he is built for the league’s biggest stage.
But Danger, a current Miami student, leaned into the part of the discussion that carries the most intrigue. “The question is, will he play his first season after being drafted? I don’t know,” she said, letting the idea linger.
