Netflix has created a captivating program that has the world talking as free climbing specialist Alex Honnold aims to climb one of the tallest building on the planet.
The 40 year old California native has a Netflix special Saturday night where he is attempting to climb Taipei 101. The building is exactly 101 stories and features a monstrous physical challenge.

Skyscraper Live gives Alex Honnold the opportunity to become the first person to ever successfully climb the massive and historic building. Honnold was originally scheduled to attempt the task Jan. 23, but poor weather postponed the climb.
During the climb, Alex Honnold has a microphone connected so fans are able to listen to his thoughts and discuss strategies with Netflix’s commentary team. Throughout the arduous 101 floors, Honnold has stopped to wave at fans and regain his composure.
Former ESPN reporter Elle Duncan and WWE star Seth Rollins are among the crew highlighting the impressive event. Rollins has featured significantly on Netflix since WWE brought over Monday Night Raw in 2025.
Honnold has a massive social media following, featuring over 2.6 million followers on Instagram alone. The daredevil climber is known for fright-defying stunts and has completed many solo climbs at some of the most scenic locations in the world.
