Better to be safe than sorry …
Following the brutal conclusion of UFC 324 last night (Sat., Jan. 24, 2026) inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, promotion officials confirmed to MMAmania.com that two fighters were transported to a local hospital for precautionary reasons after sustaining significant damage in their respective bouts.
The fighters were the main event loser Paddy Pimblett, and curtain jerker Adam Fugitt.
Pimblett was taken to a “Sin City” hospital for precautionary CT scans of his head and face following his five-round war with Justin Gaethje in the main event. The bout earned “Fight of the Night” honors, but ended with Pimblett suffering the first loss of his UFC career after absorbing a sustained and bloody beating from “The Highlight” (watch highlights).
The loss snapped Pimblett’s nine-fight win streak and dropped him to 7-1 inside the Octagon. Prior to the setback, “The Baddy” had built serious momentum with victories over names like Michael Chandler, Tony Ferguson, and King Green, emerging as one of the promotion’s fastest-rising stars.
Fugitt was also transported for a precautionary CT scan after being knocked out by UFC newcomer Ty Miller in the opening bout of the night (watch highlights). Miller dropped Fugitt twice before finishing him with just one second remaining in the first round, marking an emphatic debut for the undefeated prospect.
Unfortunately for Fugitt, the loss marked hissecond straight knockout defeat and continued a troubling trend — all four of his UFC losses have now come by finish. His record inside the promotion falls to 2-4.
The results of the fighters’ scans are currently unknown, though they have all since been released from the hospital.
It is normal for UFC to transport fighters to the hospital for precautionary reasons, especially if the fighters are involved in three-round battles that are full of damage or after suffering nasty knockouts.
