Kit Leak: Germany’s first ever Nike away kit revealed

Germany is going back to its roots!

In a highly criticized move by pretty much all fans of the sport, the German national team is moving towards a partnership with Nike starting in 2027, to replace Adidas as their long standing outfitters. Nike has been generally regarded as one of the least inspiring outfitters in recent years to public backlash is higher than ever. Needless to say, Nike has to start off strong to prove the doubters.

According to recent leaks, Nike seems to be starting off with a hit as Footy Headlines have recently revealed early leaks of the 2027 Germany Nike kits. For those familiar with the national team, Die Mannschaft have opted for green away kits for virtually the entire 1960s-1990s, however, this has fallen out of favor with Adidas.

More recently, the national team has worn red, black, and even pink and purple for its away kits. Nike is looking to give fans some nostalgia with their first away kit.

It is great to hear that Nike will be going green as it pays great homage to the history of the team, and shows they intend to pay respect to the team’s history. While it might be an easy win for the American outfitters, fans will hope that the real design in 2027 looks good on the pitch.

Is Nike looking for an easy win or do fans have confidence that Nike will do right with outfitting one of the most iconic sports teams of all time?
