Kicker Magazine Bayer Leverkusen correspondent Stephan van Nocks reports that Leverkusen would like to loan transfer flop Eliesse Ben Seghir back to AS Monaco. The €32m transfer, in part due to recurrent public bone problems, has been unable to make an impact with his current Bundesliga club.
A loan deal hinges on Eliesse Ben Seghir’s fitness
Ben Seghir recently returned from international duty with AFCON hosts and finalists Morocco at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Despite the fact that the 20-year-old surprisingly made something of an impact for country during the tournament, Ben Seghir picked up a fresh ankle injury during the competition.
Van Nocks reports that Monaco wish to receive clarification on how long the ankle injury will sideline their former player. If Ben Seghir can receive clearance to once again play within a few weeks’ time, it appears as if the youngster’s Ligue 1 outfit would be happy to take him back on a six-month-loan.
