One Chelsea player says he has been keeping the dressing room together and united during more recent manager changes.
A lot has been said about the lack of leaders at Chelsea of late and they have needed some of the more senior players in the squad to step up. But of course, in a team of very young players, the senior ones have been few and far between.

But there are a few of them now who are coming of age a bit more and trying to step up as leaders of the group on and off the pitch. One of them is midfielder Enzo Fernandez, who players with his heart on his chest and tries to help those around him.
He has been asked what makes a good leader and what he has been doing to help influence the squad around him as a leader at Chelsea.

As quoted on X, Fernandez was asked:
“What role do you assume as a leader when there’s a change like this in manager?”
To which he replied:
“Let’s see, first and foremost, it’s keeping the group united in these difficult moments, when a coach leaves or when a teammate leaves”
“Keeping the dressing room together, united, and looking forward. In the end, we want to win for this club. And well, this is the way I try to show how important I feel within the group”
