Super Bowl LX ticket prices climb as Seahawks-Patriots matchup is set for Levi's Stadium

Super Bowl LX ticket prices are climbing past $6,000 as Seahawks and Patriots fans weigh resale sites, lotteries, travel costs and hospitality packages.

With the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots set for Super Bowl LX at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, getting into the game will once again require deep pockets - or persistence.

The cheapest seats on major resale platforms are now priced north of several thousand dollars, pushing many fans into a familiar high-stakes scramble for lotteries, verified resales and premium packages that can rival the cost of a car.

Even before the conference championships were decided, entry-level tickets on the secondary market were stratospherically expensive. After Seattle clinched the NFC and New England won the AFC on Sunday, price trackers reported the market floor ticking higher, with the lowest-priced single seats typically clustered in the upper corners of the stadium's 400 level.

After originally selling for $950 to $8,500 at face value, Super Bowl LX tickets are now commanding several times that amount on resale sites.

Across major resale sites - including Vivid Seats, SeatGeek, StubHub and Ticketmaster - those listings generally sit in the low-to-mid $7,000 range once fees are included. At the opposite end of the spectrum, VIP options advertised with lounge access and premium amenities stretch into the tens of thousands of dollars.

The sticker shock has created a tiered market: fans who manage to snag one of the limited verified listings on major exchanges, and everyone else piecing together alternatives.

The NFL distributes Super Bowl tickets through teams and league partners, and both clubs are expected to route some inventory through team-controlled channels. For Seahawks season-ticket holders, that often means keeping an eye out for a team-run lottery offering a slim chance to buy tickets at face value.

Another option comes through On Location, the NFL's official hospitality provider, which sells packages bundling game tickets with pregame events and add-ons such as hotel accommodations and transportation.

Team-branded Seahawks and Patriots packages went on sale Sunday, built around "verified gameday tickets" and exclusive pregame parties featuring all-inclusive food, appearances by NFL legends and live musical entertainment.

Non-team-specific packages are listed starting at $7,500 and climbing to $35,000. Super Bowl week also includes concert-style events tied to the league's Studio 60 music series, adding to the cost - and appeal - of the experience.

Last year's Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans offers a useful comparison. Entry-level resale prices fell sharply in the final stretch, dipping to around $2,600 in late January and early February, with an average ticket price near $6,900.

Analysts largely attributed that late drop to steep travel and lodging costs, as hotel rates in New Orleans surged after the matchup was set, with average nightly prices topping $1,000.

This year, airfare to the Bay Area appears more forgiving. According to a Kayak travel trends expert, flights to the region are running about 19% cheaper than flights to New Orleans for last year's game, with average fares hovering around $330 into both San Francisco and Oakland airports.

Lodging, however, is still expected to tighten as game week approaches, particularly near Levi's Stadium and major fan events.

As for where ticket prices go next, the pattern is familiar: prices jump once the matchup is finalized, then fluctuate. Resale markets often soften in the days or weeks before kickoff as sellers compete for buyers - but for fans hoping to wait it out, there are no guarantees.
