Seventh Georgia Bulldog named to the Pro Bowl

The Georgia Bulldogs have seven players named to the NFL Pro Bowl. The latest is Houston Texans cornerback Kamari Lassiter

Houston Texans cornerback Kamari Lassiter has been named to the 2026 Pro Bowl. Lassiter is one of seven former Georgia Bulldogs to be named to the event.

Lassiter coming off an outstanding season with the Texans, who lost in the NFL Divisional Round to the New England Patriots. He'll play in his first career Pro Bowl.

Lassiter led NFL cornerbacks in tackles with 91. His combination of elite tackling and coverage separates him from other top cornerbacks in the NFL. Lassiter had career-best totals across the board with 91 tackles, 17 pass deflections, seven tackles for a loss and four interceptions.

He formed the NFL's best cornerback duo with Derek Stingley, who is also in the Pro Bowl. The Texans had 19 interceptions in 2025, which is third-most in the NFL.

Lassiter and the Texans' defense played well in Houston's playoff loss to New England. Texans quarterback CJ Stroud threw four interceptions and Houston had another fumble in the loss. The turnovers proved to be too much to overcome for a talented Texans team that has six Pro Bowlers.

Lassiter will replace Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez in the Pro Bowl. Gonzalez is playing in the Super Bowl, so he can't participate in the Pro Bowl. Lassiter will put a ribbon on an outstanding 2025 season. He's one of only two cornerbacks to post at least 75 tackles, 15 pass deflections, three interceptions and five tackles for a loss in a season since 1994.

The Pro Bowl games will be played Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 6:30 p.m. ET (televised on ESPN) in the lead up to the Super Bowl. The Pro Bowl's flag football game will be played at 8 p.m. ET. The Pro Bowl will be held in the Moscone Center in the San Francisco Bay Area, which is also home to Super Bowl 60.
