We have known for a while now, who Penn State’s 2026 Big Ten opponents will be. However, when exactly said B1G opponents would be played remained a mystery until now, when the conference revealed the dates of each of their games live on the Big Ten Network.
Penn State’s 2026 schedule now officially reads as follows:
| Date | Opponent |
| Sept. 5th | Marshall |
| Sept. 12th | @ Temple |
| Sept. 19th | Buffalo |
| Sept. 26th | Wisconsin |
| Oct. 3rd | @ Northwestern |
| Oct. 10th | USC |
| Oct. 17th | @ Michigan |
| Oct. 24th | BYE |
| Oct. 31st | Purdue |
| Nov. 7th | @ Washington |
| Nov. 14th | Minnesota |
| Nov. 21st | Rutgers |
| Nov. 28th | @ Maryland |
At first glance, this seems like a very manageable schedule for Matt Campbell’s debut as PSU’s head coach, with no Power 4 teams in the non-conference slate, and their final three games against mid-to-lower tier Big Ten opponents. The most notable stretch of this schedule are the back-to-back games against USC and Michigan, with the Trojans being a prime candidate for the White Out game, followed by a trip to Ann Arbor against Kyle Whittingham’s Wolverines. Getting at least a split between these two games would go a long way towards having a spectacular first season for Campbell’s crew.
The early November road trip to Washington should be intriguing as well, especially since I have no Earthly idea how good this Huskies team will end up being, especially with the awkwardness of Demond Williams’ failed attempt to leave the program after initially committing to stay. Regardless, as we’ve learned the hard way, cross-country road trips tend to be a tricky time, and Husky Stadium is known for its raucous atmosphere, so a win there would feel huge.
Of course, we will have the next 6-7 months to sit here and speculate how easy or tough this schedule truly is, especially once we get a better idea of how the depth chart is shaping up and how the players are taking to the new coaching staff’s teachings. In the meantime, you can go ahead and start working on your Fall travel plans to try and catch one or more of these games in person.
