EMPORIA (KSNT) – Success for the Emporia State women’s basketball team has been hard to come by so far this season.

The Lady Hornets have just two road wins this season, for a 2-5 overall road record, compared to the squad’s eight wins at home.

Keeping a positive mindset might be challenging for some as the season continues to progress, but head coach MJ Baker says her team is focused on finding areas to improve.

“We really do just focus on getting better,” Baker said. “Even with wins, we’re still not satisfied because we know we can be playing better… Results do matter to a certain extent, but I think just staying locked in on being process-focused and just getting better each game and each practice is where you find that good energy…”

The Lady Hornets will travel down to Claremore, OK on Jan. 29 to take on Rogers State. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
