Inter Milan Await Champions League Play-Off Draw As Benfica Or Bodo/Glimt Await Nerazzurri

Inter Milan’s European journey resumes today as the Nerazzurri await the outcome of the Champions League play-off draw in Nyon.

The ceremony, scheduled for 12:00 CET, will determine whether Inter face Benfica or Bodo/Glimt in the next round.

Cristian Chivu’s side narrowly missed out on direct qualification to the last 16 despite their final matchday win in Dortmund.

That result left Inter just short of the top eight and forced them into an extra knockout hurdle.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, neither possible opponent should be underestimated.

Bodo/Glimt have grown into a serious European threat and recently proved it by winning away at Atletico Madrid.

Their strength is no longer limited to artificial pitches in Norway.

Benfica also arrive with momentum after an impressive victory over Real Madrid. The Portuguese side bring experience, quality, and a familiar face on the bench in José Mourinho.

If drawn together, an Inter–Mourinho clash would instantly become one of the headline ties of the round.

The stakes stretch beyond this play-off.

The winner will advance to face either Manchester City or Sporting CP in the round of 16, making today’s draw a key moment in Inter’s Champions League campaign.
