The veteran is out of contract at the end of the season.
Robert Lewandowski’s wife Ana has dropped a hit on her husband’s future plans as he heads into the final months of his contract at Barcelona.
The 37-year-old has yet to confirm his plans for the future but it is expected that he will move on as a free agent.
Ana Lewandowski says it’s looking like this will be Robert’s last season with Barcelona and that the family are determined to enjoy it to the max.
“We’ll see how the season goes at Barcelona this year, because let’s just say it will probably be my husband’s last, so let’s make the most of it. Let’s enjoy every moment, every match, every meeting with the fans, because one day we won’t have any of this,” she told Plejada
“What is coming? We don’t know, but that is the path of a great athlete and especially a great athlete and we are prepared for it.
“I’d like to say that I hope he’ll be talked about for many years to come and that generations won’t forget him, because he did something great, and I can only say that I’m incredibly proud. I know how much he cares about this every year, and I know that this isn’t the end of his career yet, although it’s getting closer.”
There’s already been talk of MLS clubs being interested in Lewandowski and speculation he’s held “positive talks” with Chicago fire about a potential summer move.
