Video: Bill Haney involved in brawl after Teofimo vs. Shakur weigh-ins

Wild scenes in New York following Friday’s Teofimo vs. Shakur weigh-ins

Madison Square Garden had some fights take place ahead of schedule this weekend, with Bill Haney taking center stage.

On Saturday in New York City, Teofimo Lopez puts his The Ring and WBO junior welterweight titles on the line against the undefeated WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson. But following Friday’s weigh-ins at The Theater at MSG, it was Haney who found himself amid some action, as a brawl erupted near him and he jumped in, appearing to play peacemaker.

During the DAZN weigh-in show, the cameras cut to the brawl in the crowd following the main event staredowns, with Todd Grisham revealing Haney was somewhere in the center of the action.

There have been several other reports and videos on social media that say Haney may have been jumped after the initial skirmish took place. There are multiple videos out there of another battle happening, but it hasn’t been confirmed if Haney was the victim or involved.

The Teomino vs. Shakur main card streams exclusively on DAZN PPV at 7:30 p.m. ET, with the prelims kicking off at 6 p.m. ET, which you can watch on MMA Fighting.
