CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WNCT) — The Pirates women’s basketball team secured a 67-61 road win against Charlotte in a tough conference battle.
Despite a frustrating 19 turnovers, the Pirates forced Charlotte into 25 turnovers of their own and outscored the hosts by a dozen in the second half, including a dominant 19-10 fourth quarter.
Keanna Rembert and Anzhané Hutton stepped up in the final frame, scoring 15 points on 5-5 from the field and 5-6 from the foul line.
Kennedy Fauntleroy led the Pirates in scoring with 21 points, five assists, and six steals.
