TIOGA, N.Y. (WETM) – It was a monumental night for Odessa-Montour girls basketball Friday.
O-M sophomore guard Leah Antes poured in 17 points eclipsing the 1,000 career points mark in a 41-33 win at Tioga High School. With the win, O-M improves to (8-8) overall and qualified for the Section IV Class C Tournament at the end of the season.
Antes was awarded with a special ball and greeted by her teammates who all celebrated the special milestone. Former O-M great Stef Collins, who went on to compete at St. Bonaventure and as an Olympian in England, is the program’s all-time scoring leader with 2,204 points. Collins graduated in 2001 and helped O-M to its first-ever New York State Championship that year.
Next up for O-M is a home game this Tuesday vs. Marathon at 7:30 pm.
