Barcelona forward Raphinha had to be substituted at half-time of Saturday’s La Liga clash against Elche due to feeling some discomfort.

The Brazilian looked to be uncomfortable at the end of the half and was replaced by Marcus Rashford for the second 45 minutes.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Raphinha was feeling some discomfort in his right adductor and the club were quick to take him off as they didn’t want to take any risks.

Raphinha’s been suffering from a few niggles since the turn of the year. He played through the pain barrier against Espanyol and at the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia.

Barcelona will be hoping that Raphinha just needs to rest and it’s likely he will sit out the midweek Copa del Rey tie against Albacete.

Hansi Flick’s side then return to action at the weekend against Real Mallorca, before heading to Girona on Monday, February 16th.
