Inter Milan could face harsh consequences for an incident that occurred during last night’s game against Cremonese.
Speaking to Radio Anch’io Lo Sport via FCInterNews, lawyer Roberto Afeltra delivered his verdict on the situation.
Cristian Chivu’s side secured a comfortable 2-0 victory at Stadio Giovanni Zini, extending their winning streak in Serie A to four matches.
Furthermore, the San Siro giants are now eight points clear at the table’s summit ahead of AC Milan’s trip to Bologna tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Lautaro Martinez scored in his third consecutive league appearance open the scoring.
Resurgent midfielder Piotr Zielinski made it 2-0 with another headline-grabbing strike from outside the box.
However, a late incident overshadowed Inter’s win.
Indeed, a reckless fan threw a firecracker onto the pitch, only a few meters away from Emil Audero.
Fortunately, the Cremonese goalkeeper didn’t get hurt, but Inter could face sanctions for this mindless action.

“The rule that allows for this situation is Article 25, paragraph 3 of the Code of Discipline,” Alfetra said.
“It provides for strict liability for clubs whose supporters, during matches, engage in pyrotechnic displays or the throwing of firecrackers.
“It is necessary to identify both the subjective and objective elements, from which the sanction derives.
“The range goes from a minimum fine to a maximum 3–0 forfeit.
“The firecracker did not hit the player, but it caused immediate harm. The player was able to see the match through to the end, and this alone rules out the maximum sanction.
“It remains to be seen which penalty will be applied: a fine, the closure of a sector, playing one or more matches behind closed doors, or hypothetically closing several sections of the stadium.
“A point deduction is not applicable.
“The subjective element concerns the club’s conduct, and Inter have never had a specific ruling for a violation of this regulation, which would have constituted recidivism.
“In that case, the immediately higher sanction would have been applied.
“Therefore, the punishment should range from the closure of a stadium sector for a certain period to playing a match behind closed doors.
