United happy with centre back situation

Manchester United had been monitoring Jeremy Jacquet earlier in the window, but centre back is no longer viewed as a pressing priority.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Dan Khan noted that the switch to a back four has left the squad well covered defensively.

Jacquet now appears to have been viewed more as a long-term option rather than someone required to strengthen the current group.

No late moves expected

Manchester United are not planning any late activity as deadline day draws to a close – neither incoming nor outgoing.

Despite regular speculation, potential moves involving Joshua Zirkzee and Manuel Ugarte have always been considered unlikely.

With no deals advancing on either side, United look set to close the window without any further changes to their side.
