South Africa middle-order batter Tristan Stubbs has signed for Hampshire Hawks for the 2026 T20 Blast.

The 25-year-old has scored 3,188 runs in 154 T20 matches with an average of 32.30 and an impressive strike rate of 142.95.

While this will be his first T20 Blast campaign, Stubbs has franchise experience in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Caribbean Premier League (CPL), SA20 and The Hundred.

He made his South Africa debut in 2022, and has been capped 42 times in international T20s, scoring 822 runs in 36 innings.

"Tristan is a hugely talented player with strong connections to the club through his time at Delhi Capitals [owned by Hampshire co-owners GMR Group] and his relationships with our coaches, past and present," director of cricket Giles White told the club website.

"He's a wonderful addition, and having him involved is a massive boost for both our squad and the competition as a whole."

Stubbs - who has also played 14 Tests for his country, hitting three centuries - has also joined Hampshire-based Southern Brave as a signing for the 2026 edition of The Hundred.
