The 2025-26 NBA All-Star Game is shaking things up with a brand-new format: a USA vs. World round-robin tournament featuring 12-minute games. While the league experiments with new ways to showcase its talent, the card market remains laser-focused on one metric: liquidity.
To determine which All-Stars are moving the needle in the hobby, we ranked the ten starters by their Mantel SLAM Score. For those new to the metric, the SLAM Score doesn’t just measure value, it measures velocity. More here. It calculates how quickly and frequently a card sells. A high price tag doesn’t always equal a high SLAM Score; if a card is too expensive for the average collector to move, its liquidity drops.
We analyzed the PSA 10 Silver Prizm Rookie for each starter (with exceptions for Curry and Jokić, where PSA 9s were used due to scarcity). Here is how the starters stack up, from the most liquid to the least.
1. Victor Wembanyama (San Antonio Spurs)
- Card: 2023 Panini Prizm Silver PSA 10
- SLAM Score:90
- Current Price: ~$1,500
Topping the list with a massive 90 SLAM Score is the French phenom. Wembanyama continues to be a dominant defensive force, leading the league in blocks with approximately 3.7 per game while adding 24.1 points and 11.2 rebounds nightly. His card sits in the “goldilocks” zone for high-end modern cards: at ~$1,500, it is expensive enough to be a grail but liquid enough to trade hands frequently compared to five-figure veteran cards.
2 (Tie). Luka Dončić (Los Angeles Lakers)
- Card: 2018 Panini Prizm Silver PSA 10
- SLAM Score:86
- Current Price: ~$1,600
Following his blockbuster move to the Los Angeles Lakers, Luka has taken his scoring to new heights. He currently leads the NBA in scoring at 33.6 PPG, while dishing out 8.8 assists and grabbing 8.0 rebounds. The “Lakers Effect” combined with his scoring title chase has kept his market incredibly active, tying him for the second-highest liquidity score on this list.
2 (Tie). Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors)
- Card: 2009 Topps Rookie PSA 9
- SLAM Score:86
- Current Price: ~$3,100
Note: A PSA 9 was used for Curry as recent sales data for PSA 10s was insufficient to generate a score.
Even with a PSA 9, Curry ties Dončić for the second spot. The greatest shooter of all time is averaging 27.2 points and 4.8 assists for Golden State. The fact that a PSA 9 holds an 86 SLAM Score at a $3,100 price point speaks to the insatiable demand for Curry rookies, collectors are willing to pay a premium for any high-grade copy they can find. You won’t have any problem finding buyers for this card, even at its much higher price point.
4. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder)
- Card: 2018 Panini Prizm Silver PSA 10
- SLAM Score:75
- Current Price: ~$1,575
SGA is right on Luka’s heels for the scoring title, averaging 32.0 PPG with elite efficiency (55.8% FG) for the West-leading Thunder. His card price is nearly identical to Wembanyama and Dončić, but his slightly lower SLAM score suggests his market, while robust, moves just a beat slower than the top three.
5. Nikola Jokić (Denver Nuggets)
- Card: 2015 Panini Prizm Silver PSA 9
- SLAM Score:74
- Current Price: ~$1,500
Note: A PSA 9 was used for Jokić as recent sales data for PSA 10s was insufficient.
The Joker continues to normalize the impossible, currently averaging a triple-double with 29.6 points, 13.1 rebounds (league leader), and 10.2 assists while shooting 58.4% from the floor. Like Curry, his PSA 10s are ghosts in the market, but his PSA 9 Silver Prizm remains a highly liquid staple at the $1,500 mark.
6. Cade Cunningham (Detroit Pistons)
- Card: 2021 Panini Prizm Silver PSA 10
- SLAM Score:68
- Current Price: ~$800
Cunningham has surged into the MVP conversation by leading the Pistons to the best record in the Eastern Conference. He is filling the stat sheet with 25.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and a massive 9.8 assists per game. At ~$800, his card is more accessible than the top tier, reflecting a strong mid-market demand as collectors buy into Detroit’s resurgence.
7. Jalen Brunson (New York Knicks)
- Card: 2018 Panini Prizm Silver PSA 10
- SLAM Score:64
- Current Price: ~$355
Brunson represents one of the “value” plays on the board. Averaging 27.2 PPG and 6.1 APG, he remains the engine of the Knicks. His lower price point (~$355) usually encourages volume, but his score of 64 suggests he is currently traded less fervently than the marquee superstars listed above.
8. Tyrese Maxey (Philadelphia 76ers)
- Card: 2020 Panini Prizm Silver PSA 10
- SLAM Score:63
- Current Price: ~$325
Maxey has evolved into a two-way force, averaging nearly 30 points (29.2 PPG) and improving his defense significantly with 2.0 steals per game. Despite these elite numbers, his Silver Prizm is the most affordable on this list at ~$325, making him a potential target for collectors looking for high performance at a lower entry cost.
9. Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks)
- Card: 2013 Panini Prizm Silver PSA 10
- SLAM Score:60
- Current Price: ~$7,500
Giannis highlights perfectly how the SLAM Score works. He is having another dominant efficient season, leading all starters with 64.5% shooting while dropping 28.0 PPG and 10.0 RPG. However, his Silver Prizm PSA 10 costs roughly $7,500. While desirable, a card at this price point simply has a smaller pool of buyers than a $1,500 card, resulting in a lower frequency of sales and a lower SLAM Score.
10. Jaylen Brown (Boston Celtics)
- Card: 2016 Panini Prizm Silver PSA 10
- SLAM Score:36
- Current Price: ~$400
Rounding out the list is Jaylen Brown. Despite averaging 29.4 points and 6.9 rebounds per game, his SLAM Score is a surprisingly low 36. Priced at ~$400, this could indicate a market inefficiency where collectors are overlooking his production relative to his hobby cost compared to peers like Brunson or Maxey.
The data reveals that while Giannis Antetokounmpo commands the highest price tag, Victor Wembanyama commands the most market attention. The SLAM Score helps us separate “expensive” from “active,” highlighting that in the current market, the $1,500–$1,600 range (Wemby, Luka, SGA) is the sweet spot for high-volume, high-value trading. Meanwhile, stars like Tyrese Maxey, Jalen Brunson and Jaylen Brown appear to offer significant statistical value relative to their current hobby standing.
