After parting ways with Ademola Lookman on the final day of the January transfer window, there have already been reports that Atalanta could sell another one of their star players to Atletico Madrid over the summer: Ederson.

Reports Atalanta could sell Ederson to Atletico Madrid

Atalanta and Atletico Madrid shook hands over two significant deals during the January transfer window.

First was Giacomo Raspadori, who returned to Serie A after a short-lived spell in the Spanish capital, and then Lookman, who moved in the opposite direction for a reported fee of €35m plus bonuses on the final day of the window.

Atletico Madrid confirm Ademola Lookman’s signing.

Relations between the two clubs are said to be at an all-time high, and Atleti could capitalise on their recently successful deals with Atalanta in order to bring in Ederson in a few months’ time.

According to reports from Calciomercato.com, the Brazilian midfielder is valued somewhere in the region of €40m-€50m.

His current deal with La Dea is set to expire in the summer of 2027, which means that if he doesn’t extend his contract, the summer 2026 window is Atalanta’s last chance to cash in on the 26-year-old for somewhere near his full value.

Diego Simeone is said to be very interested in signing Ederson, and Atletico would reportedly be prepared to double the midfielder’s wages from around €2m per season to around €4m per season.
