Five elite high school basketball players from Florida have been named to the prestigious McDonald's All-American Game roster. See who made the cut.
The McDonald's All-American Games is amongst the most prestigious honors in all of prep sports, and Florida has a rich history of hoopers earning the nod.
McDonald's All-Americans who played in the state include No. 1 overall draft picks Cooper Flagg (Montverde) and Cade Cunningham (Montverde), as well as current NBA players Tre Mann (The Villages Charter) and Derek Queen (Montverde).
NBA legends and Florida natives that are alumnus of the game include Vince Carter (Mainland) and Amar'e Stoudemire (Cypress Creek) — Auburndale can still claim Tracy McGrady despite him transferring to North Carolina for his senior year.
This year's roster is noticeably void of typical mainstays like Montverde and IMG Academy. Prolific Prep, which relocated from Napa, California, to Fort Lauderdale sends two of its players to this years game after sending Darryn Peterson and Niko Bundalo last year.
Here are the five players that were named to this year's McDonald's All-American roster:
Bruce Branch III, Prolific Prep
Branch (6-foot-7, 190 pounds) makes this year's roster after transferring up into the class of 2026 and maintaining 5-star status. One of the few top players still on the board, he holds offers from the likes of BYU, Kansas, Arizona, UCLA and others.
Caleb Holt, Prolific Prep
Holt has cemented himself as a premier guard in the country after arriving at Prolific Prep. He's ranked as a composite 5-star, the No. 1 player in the state, and the No. 1 shooting guard in the country. He's being pursued by the likes of Arizona, Kentucky, Alabama, Houston and Providence.
Toni Bryant, Southeastern Prep
Bryant (6-9, 215 pounds) is a composite 5-star and consensus top-10 power forward in the country. The Missouri signee made the move to SePa midseason from Zephyrhills Christian and averaged 14.7 points and 10.2 rebounds across six games. He is the third-highest rated prospect to ever sign with the Tigers (247Sports).
Jaxon Richardson, Southeastern Prep
Son of NBA vet Jason Richardson and brother of Magic guard Jase Richardson, Jaxon (6-6, 205 pounds) has stuffed the stat sheet at SePa with 12.2 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 1.4 SPG, and 1.1 BPG. Creighton, Alabama, USC and Ole Miss are in the lead for the 5-star wing.
Caleb Gaskins, Columbus
Columbus saw the departure of the Boozer twins, Richardson and head coach Andrew Moran — but Gaskins stayed put and averaged 20 points and 8 boards per game against some of the best teams in the nation. He committed to Miami (where Moran is now director of player development) over Florida and Texas A&M.
