PHOENIX - The Golden State Warriors are set to play their second straight game without Stephen Curry.

Runner's knee is keeping Curry sidelined Thursday night against the Phoenix Suns, according to the NBA's injury report. The franchise guard, in his 17th season, missed Tuesday's blowout loss to the Philadelphia 76ers after leaving the second half of Friday's loss to the Detroit Pistons.

Curry's right kneecap pain emerged a week ago Saturday in Minneapolis, where he worked out in lieu of a rescheduled matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He played in Golden State's win the next day and sat through a blowout loss last Monday in the rematch - returning to the lineup last Wednesday against the Utah Jazz.

The Warriors are 4-8 this year without Curry, 37 and averaging 27.2 points (46.8% shooting, 39.1% 3-point shooting), 3.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 39 games. Head coach Steve Kerr has indicated his playing status is day-to-day.

Without Curry against Philadelphia, the Warriors started Brandin Podziemski, Moses Moody, Gui Santos, Draymond Green and Al Horford. Kerr said postgame Tuesday night against the Suns, Golden State "won't start the same way."

Jonathan Kuminga is also set to miss his fifth consecutive game Thursday with the left knee bone bruise sustained Jan. 22 against the Dallas Mavericks. Kuminga was benched for 16 games at Kerr's discretion, but re-entered the rotation amid Jimmy Butler's season-ending torn right ACL.

In 30 minutes across two games, Kuminga in his return had 30 points amid his standing trade demand. Kuminga averages 12.1 points (45.4% shooting, 32.1% 3-point shooting), 5.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists.

Seth Curry (sciatica) remains inactive for Golden State. The NBA's trade deadline is noon Thursday.
