Big Ten releases shirt celebrating conference’s football natty 3-peat

The conference dropped a shirt celebrating Michigan, Ohio State and Indiana’s national title runs in football. At once.

Are you just a really, really big (B1G?) fan of the Big Ten Conference and its various member athletics programs? Football in particular? Well, the league just dropped JUST the shirt for you:

SEC team belts, you’ve officially met your match.

The shirt, released by the conference on Thursday afternoon and pushed out on social media, commemorates Michigan’s national championship in 2023, Ohio State’s in 2024 and Indiana’s in 2025. There’s a few reasons why this is funny.

For one, Michigan and Ohio State were two of the three teams alongside Purdue that Cignetti called out during his introduction to the fanbase during a men’s basketball game in December 2023. Indiana’s head coach took the microphone, shared a few words and let the following quote rip:

“Purdue sucks! But so does Michigan and Ohio State!”

This creates a dilemma for fans of the Wolverines and Buckeyes interested in purchasing this shirt. For one, you’re buying a shirt with your main rival’s logo on it. Then the other team’s head coach yelled that you stink to the entire world before beating you on the football field. Tough.

Conference pride isn’t generally the Big Ten’s thing, you see it more around the SEC, but this is an interesting item of apparel!

Would you buy this? Or anything like it?
