TKO CEO says that Dana White is hard at work on the UFC White House card
TKO CEO Ari Emanuel says Dana White and the UFC matchmaking team are hard at work putting together the UFC White House card, and it won’t be a typical 14-fight lineup.
Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Emanuel was asked about the latest on the June 14 card on the South Lawn of the White House, and says he’s not aware of the specific matchups on the card, but the lineup will be limited in terms of matchups.
“At the White House, I think it’s 3,000-4,000 [people in attendance[, and then there will be other areas [to watch the fights],” Emanuel confirmed. “And Dana’s working on it right now. There’s going to be, approximately, six to seven fights, June 14.
“He hasn’t said to us what the card is going to be, but I know they’re working pretty hard at it right now.”
UFC White House has taken on a life of its own, with many of the top stars such as Conor McGregor, Jon Jones, Alex Pereira, and Ilia Topuria all raising their hands to compete in the one-of-one combat sports event.
Emanuel doesn’t know everything at the moment, but he’s quite confident everybody will be checking it out when the event goes down.
“I don’t know who is not watching that fight [card].” Emanuel said.
