Boys basketball roundup: Mason claims share of CAAC Red title

The highlights from Friday, Feb. 6 boys games featuring Greater Lansing teams.

MASON 63, FOWLERVILLE 46

FOWLERVILLE — Luke Goss scored a team-high 17 points to help the Bulldogs clinch at least a share of the CAAC Red title with a victory over Fowlerville. Gavin Greathouse added 16 points and Mason Dowdy scored 13 points for Mason (11-7, 7-2). Sam Shrader led all scorers with 18 points, Leo Freitas tallied nine points and Dylan Soli added six points for the Gladiators (4-12, 0-8).

WILLIAMSTON 46, HASLETT 44 (OT)

Zach Kulesza finished with 15 points for the Hornets in their CAAC Red win over rival Haslett. Tommy Pratt had 11 points and Jameson Conti scored 10 points for Williamston.

SEXTON 87, LAKEWOOD 40

LAKE ODESSA — Keyshawn Summerville and Jeremy Shane Jr. each scored a game-high 13 points for the J-Dubbs (16-2, 12-0) in their CAAC White win over Lakewood. Shane added five steals and Zion Mathis contributed 11 points Sexton. Jaxon Jablonski finished with nine points and Max Thrun hauled in seven rebounds for the Vikings (5-13, 3-9).

HOLT 81, EVERETT 56

Brandon Mercer knocked down 8-of-11 shots from the field while scoring 24 points for the Rams in their CAAC Blue road win over Everett. M. Harris added 14 points for and Michael Aimery had 12 points and seven rebounds for Holt (12-6, 5-5). Marrion May finished with 23 points and Preston Williams scored 16 points for Everett.

LAINGSBURG 51, PERRY 47

Leandro Delaga's team-high 15 points helped the Wolfpack earn a CMAC win over Perry. Jake Rivet added 10 points for Laingsburg. Trey Selbig led all scorers with 18 points and Anthony Cochrane had 13 points for Perry.

WEBBERVILLE 63, BURTON BENTLEY 52

WEBBERVILLE — Dominic Driver led all scorers with 31 points and surpassed 1,000 career points as a junior in a home victory over Burton Bentley (8-7). Dylan Rhodes scored 25 points and dished out nine assists for Webberville (15-2).

PORTLAND 44, PARMA WESTERN 31

Carter White had 18 points to lead the Raiders to a nonleague win. Ethan Cassel added 10 points for Portland.

BAY CITY JOHN GLENN 57, ALMA 29

BAY CITY — The Panthers struggled offensively while suffering a TVC Red loss to John Glenn. Koby Shunk had 10 points and Treyshon Oglesby had eight rebounds to lead Alma (11-7, 5-4)
