WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (WETM) – Watkins Glen senior guard Rachel Vickio achieved a major accomplishment Friday night.
Vickio scored her 1,000th career point in Watkins Glen’s big win over Whitney Point on Senior Night. It was a perfect moment to share with family, friends and teammates for Vickio at the Lake Hawks’ home gym. Vickio scored 14 points on the historic night in her final season in Watkins Glen before she takes her talent to Elmira College for basketball.
Watkins Glen topped Whitney Point 43-39 in a tight battle which saw the Lake Hawks hang on for the victory.
Next up for the Lake Hawks is a home game vs. Newark Valley Tuesday at 7 pm.
