It’s time for Super Bowl squares results. We’ve got the third quarter numbers for Super Bowl 60.
The Seattle Seahawks are one quarter away from winning their second Lombardi Trophy. The third quarter of Super Bowl 60 is a wrap and the Seahawks lead the New England Patriots 12-0. If you’re playing Super Bowl squares and had the square of the Seahawks 2 and the Patriots 0, congrats on the prize money!
Neither offense has impressed in this game, but Seattle has done just enough on four drives to come away from points. The Patriots opened the third quarter with the ball but punted after a three-and-out. The Seahawks responded with a field goal after a ten-play, 69-yard drive. Sam Darnold distributed the ball well on the drive, throwing four passes to four different receivers to secure first downs. But once again, the Seahawks stalled near the red zone. They got down to the Patriots 23-yard line, and managed a one-yard run and two incompletions before Jason Myers kicked a 41-yard field goal.
The Seahawks defense has shut down Drake Maye and the Patriots, and they are on the verge of putting this game away heading into the fourth quarter. Derick Hall forced a Maye fumble and the Seahawks are in Patriots territory to open the fourth quarter.
Across Super Bowl history, 3 and 7 has been the most common combination of numbers at the end of the third quarter. Last year, the Eagles led the Chiefs 34-6, which meant Eagles 4 and Chiefs 6 was the winning square.
