Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski was back in training on Wednesday after missing the Copa del Rey tie against Atletico due to a fractured eye socket.

The striker has returned to work wearing a protective mask, and the hope is that he will be available for Saturday’s La Liga fixture against Athletic Club.

Saturday promises to be a tough game for Barcelona, particularly after a draining game against Atletico in midweek. However, Athletic Club also have a midweek fixture, as they play the second leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final tonight against Real Sociedad. No one at Barca will be at all sad if that game goes to extra-time.

Flick may look to make changes to his team for Saturday, with Ferran Torres potentially one to drop out. The Shark has hit a really bad patch in front of goal and has only scored once in his last eight matches in all competitions for Barca.

Lewandowski did score on his last outing for Barcelona, in the win over Villarreal, but was the sidelined after taking a hit to the face late on.
