The FC Fleury defender and Argentine international Aldana Cometti has signed with Bay FC through 2027.
Bay FC announced on Wednesday the signing of Argentine defender Aldana Cometti. The former Division 1 Féminine player signed a two-year contract with an option for 2028.
“Coming to Bay FC is a challenge that truly motivates me,” said Cometti. “The NWSL is one of the most competitive leagues in the world, and I want to test myself here while helping the team grow. I hope to bring leadership, organization, and intensity to the back line, and to support my teammates in every moment.”
Her résumé includes clubs such as Argentina’s River Plate and Boca Jrs., Colombia’s Atlético Huila, Spain’s Grenada, Sevilla, Levante, and Madrid CFF, a club where she shared the locker room with Bay’s forward Racheal Kundananji from 2022-2024.
The Libertadores champion’s debut and addition to the roster will follow the receipt of her P-1 visa and international transfer clearance. However, Cometti is already in the US, participating in the She Believes Cup with her national team, Argentina. Cometti has donned the Argentine jersey more than 100 times, becoming in this way, the all-time appearances leader for her country.
