Bayern Munich News: Bayern Munich not talking to Newcastle United’s Nick Woltemade…yet

Is FC Bayern planning a future with Nick Woltemade?

No contact between Bayern, Woltemade (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)

There were rumors floating around that Bayern Munich was talking to Nick Woltemade about a return to Germany, but Sport Bild’s Christian Falk says that is not the case:

It is TRUE: There is no contact between Bayern Munich and Nick Woltemade. At the moment, there are rumours suggesting that Newcastle would be prepared to sell the Germany international. However, this isn’t the case at the moment, because whilst the club would be prepared to sell him if Woltemade came to the manager or owners saying that he didn’t feel okay in the north east of England anymore, this hasn’t happened. There weren’t any talks between Woltemade and Newcastle in terms of a potential exit. That’s why there were also no talks with Bayern Munich over a potential move to the Allianz Arena.

He’s, of course, an option for the future, and Bayern are keeping an eye on the situation to see where Woltemade’s path leads. But otherwise, I know Nick Woltemade is just focused on the upcoming World Cup with the German national team. He won’t force any transfer before the competition, certainly not unless Newcastle start having second thoughts about the player themselves. For now, both sides aren’t thinking about opening discussions over a transfer.

While it is not out of the question for Woltemade to eventually play at Bayern Munich, timing is going to be everything. It will not be cheap to get him in the future and it will likely depend on what Bayern Munich’s plan is for Harry Kane’s succession plan.

Adams to make big move? (ESPN)

Former RB Leipzig midfielder Tyler Adams is reportedly getting interest from Manchester United, Chelsea, and Liverpool:

Manchester United, Chelsea, and Liverpool are monitoring the situation of Bournemouth and USMNT midfielder Tyler Adams, according to The Daily Mail. Adams, 27, has made three appearances in the Premier League since returning from injury in the 0-0 draw against West Ham last month, and it is reported that all three Premier League clubs are considering a move for him in the summer. An offer worth around £40 million could be enough to land him, but any deal isn’t expected to take place until after the FIFA World Cup.

Inter making plans for Goretzka swoop (Sempre Inter)

Inter Milan could be plotting to get a jump on convincing Leon Goretzka to move from Bavaria to Italy after the season:

Inter Milan are already planning for next season, with Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka and Roma defender Zeki Celik both on the radar as potential free transfer additions to the Nerazzurri squad.

According to Il Giorno, via FCInterNews, Inter have not abandoned their pursuit of cost-free signings despite their strong league position.

Both Goretzka and Celik reach the end of their contracts this summer, making them attractive options for a club that has built a reputation for smart, financially responsible recruitment.

Goretzka would address Inter’s need for a physically imposing midfielder, while Celik offers experienced cover at wing-back, particularly relevant given the uncertainty surrounding Denzel Dumfries’s future.

The main impediment for Goretzka in moving to Italy will be Inter Milan’s willingness to meet his salary demands. Goretzka likely will not have those issue with English teams.

Barca to get more serious about Van de Ven pursuit? (ESPN)

FC Barcelona could be looking to make a serious attempt to land Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven:

Barcelona are ready to step up their pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven. Sport reports that scouts have been sent to watch the 24-year-old as the Blaugrana look to acquire a left-footed center back, who is seen as a potential alternative to Internazionale’s Alessandro Bastoni. Van de Ven has continued to be linked with an exit from Spurs amid the club’s poor run of form in the Premier League — they currently sit four points above the relegation zone ahead of their match against Crystal Palace on Wednesday.

Villa chasing Jackson? (EPL Index)

Aston Villa could have interest in giving Bayern Munich backup striker and Chelsea loanee Nicolas Jackson a new home:

Aston Villa are preparing for a potentially pivotal summer, with fresh reports suggesting that Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson has emerged as a key target. According to Football Insider, the Midlands club are keen to reinforce their attacking options, and Jackson has been identified as a leading candidate to step into the breach should Ollie Watkins depart.

As reported by Football Insider, Unai Emery is a particular admirer of Jackson and has already sanctioned a move for the 24-year-old following Villa’s initial interest last year. That detail is significant. Emery’s recruitment calls carry weight, and when he pushes for a profile, it is typically aligned with a clear tactical vision.

Adeyemi with eyes on England? (ESPN)

Borussia Dortmund attacker Karim Adeyemi reportedly wants to make a move to the Premier League:

Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi is stalling on signing a new contract and hopes to join a team in the Premier League, according to Bild. It is reported that the 24-year-old’s representatives have requested the inclusion of a release clause into any potential new deal at Signal Iduna Park, but the Bundesliga club are losing patience after failing to make any progress in negotiations. Adeyemi, who has previously been linked with Manchester United and Chelsea, will enter the final year of his deal in June.
